It may seem like a silly notion that it may not be OK for some to get rid of anxiety…
But it happens quite often.
If you feel that being anxious is your natural state, and that if you stop being anxious that you'll become no longer alert and something bad will happen, then you may have "resistance" to letting go of anxiety.
The other reason may be more subtle.
It may be more comfortable to be generally anxious than to change and face the issue that you need to face, than to remain anxious and deny that any deeper issues exist.
It takes a bit of looking self inspection and realising that your anxiety is trying to tell you something.
This is something to keep in mind even when you successfully reduce your anxiety.
It is something to face sooner or later, so that you no longer have this issue continuing to control you in the future.
